Fall, 2007 Schedule

NEW CLASS OFFERING
Theatre Games/Scene Study Class - Grades 7-12
Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:00, 2-3 times a month
September 18 and 25
October 2, 9 and 16
November 6, 13 and 27
December 4 (alternate date: December 11)
The cost would be $110.00 for each student, $90.00 for a second child in a family. It is about $12 per class. A $50 deposit would be due right away to reserve a spot for each student. The remainder would be due at the first class. If for any reason I can not complete the semester of classes I will refund the remainder. (This class will be held at my home.)

Meet More Masters! Ages 6-10
The world of art history is filled with wonderful masters to learn from. This class acquaints students with the times and story of a particular artist and then applies what that artist excelled at in studies, drawings, projects, etc... Best if kids can write since there are a few worksheets about style and art vocabulary. We will study a given artist for one-two weeks and learn form the masters! Let's hang out with the cave painters, Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, Renoir, Botticelli, Warhol! Maximum 12 students Fee: $15 per class, $3 for materials per class

Drawing and Art for Boys, Ages 9-13
Learning about the elements of art with Anime, computer images, drawing creatures and cars, sketching tools instead of flowers, cartooning, sculpture, studying great male artists. Fee: $15 per class (hour and a half), $3 per class materials fee

Mythical Studies (Drawing and Art for Girls) Ages 8-12
Learning about the elements of art by drawing beautiful creatures, studying a single flower and painting it, making a fairy world, building a sketch portfolio, painting, studying great female artists! Fee: $15 per class, and $3 material fee per class

Geometry and Design, Ages 11-16
This class is a lot of fun! It incorporates designing a home, laying out a floor plan, learning to estimate cost, working on isometric paper, and lots of design assignments which students solve in their own unique ways! All students will need a few architectural tools and a pad of graph paper. No art experience needed. Kids will sometimes work in teams.Use math and art skills combined! Fee: $15 per class and $3 per class materials fee

Shakespeare, Ages 8-11 and 12-16
Enter the famous Globe Theatre! These classes are for reading kids only since we will be reading each week--stories about Shakespeare, learning about the times and his interesting life, and then reading some of his plays, seeing some of his plays, doing portions of his plays! Costuming, set designing, all of it! This class may have a couple books to buy for each student. Fee: $15 per class and $3 material fee

All classes are 1 1/2 hours and dates and times TBA, at Huckleberry Learning Center

All of the above classes include all materials. To register for any of these classes, please fill out and submit the form below.
You will be registered when the $20 per class deposit is received by me. (The deposit is non-refundable in most cases.)

All classes are subject to change before the semester starts, according to need.
To pre-register for any of the classes please submit the form below.
Upon receiving your registration form, I will send you a confirmation of receipt with instructions on how to complete the registration with the $20 per class deposit.
Children will be considered registered when the deposit is paid.

(HHH members are invited to pay half cash or check/half points, but the deposit fee of $20.00 per class is still necessary.)

Upon reciept of your deposit a spot will be held for your child in the class. Class size is limited.
Even if you are paying for the class with charter funds please pre-register as the classes usually fill.
The deposit will be used to order materials in advance.
Classes which do not fill may be canceled and your fee returned.
